Surrey County Council wants to introduce parking charges across the borough!
Both Tandridge Council and OLRG oppose these plans - unlike the County Council they realise what a detrimental effect it will have on local shops.
STOP PRESS!  All of Tandridge district has been withdrawn from the public consultation on on-street parking charges
Unfortunately that doesn’t include Horley as it is in Reigate and Banstead Borough Council not Tandridge!

SURREY MINERALS PLAN

First the GOOD NEWS:- Government Inspector, Mary O’ Rourke has withdrawn the proposal to re-open Oxted sandpit due to the already heavy HGV load on the local roads.

Now the BAD NEWS:- The inspector approved the other 3 Tandridge sites!

So - there is already enough HGV traffic in Oxted (we agree!) but it’s OK to have up to 240 lorry movements per day in the narrow, winding roads in Nutfield marsh and then thundering through our villages on the A25?

This is Reeves Corner, Croydon on August 9th 2011.
Many East Surrey members have driven, walked past or visited the store over the years. Our thoughts are with Maurice Reeve and his family as well as the tenants who lost their homes due to this senseless act of vandalism
POTHOLES ARE STILL A HAZARD!
Has your vehicle fallen victim to a pothole on the roads of East Surrey?
Did you know you can claim back the costs of repair from the council?
